Brief bio |
Dr. Stella Georgita is an experienced public health management expert, a medical doctor, and a Master of Public Health with nearly 28 years of professional experience. Since July 2024, she has been serving as a Health Policy Advisor for Universal Health Coverage (UHC) at the WHO Country Office in Kazakhstan. From 2022 to July 2024, Dr. Georgita was part of the WHO Country Office in Ukraine. Previously, as a National Technical Officer at the WHO Country Office in Moldova (2015–2022), she led the development of policies on infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Before joining WHO, Dr. Georgita served as Deputy Director of the National Public Health Agency of the Ministry of Health of Moldova. She also contributed to the development of national guidelines and clinical protocols on infectious diseases, outbreak investigations, infection prevention and control (IPC), and immunization programs. |
