Short bio |
Dr. Hiba Al Mir is a Postdoctoral Researcher and microbiologist working with the Research Group for Global Capacity Building at the National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark. She has experience in antimicrobial resistance surveillance, external quality assessment and laboratory capacity strengthening across human, animal, and food sectors. She has coordinated regional EQA trials under the Fleming Fund EQAsia program, supporting laboratories in South and Southeast Asia to improve diagnostic quality and One Health AMR reporting. Her work focuses on quality systems, bacteriology, sustainability, and practical approaches for strengthening national AMR surveillance frameworks. She has collaborated closely with WHO, FAO, international and national stakeholders across low- and middle-income countries and has contributed to several international publications. |
